ICS’s Holiday Adopt-a-Family is a Great Way to Honor the Holidays

In the past, Chalice has participated as a congregation in the Holiday Adopt-a-Family program at Interfaith Community Services (ICS). But ICS’s program is really set up for families to be matched with families, so we stopped participating at a congregation level last year.

But the Holiday Adopt-a-Family program remains a great one, and I encourage Chalice congregants to consider signing up, especially if you are simplifying and looking for different ways to celebrate the December holidays. As we (perhaps) scale back on gift giving in our families, how lovely to direct our generosity to those in need. My husband and I have signed up as part of our holiday celebration.

You have until Monday, November 23rd to sign up here.

From ICS: “After filling out the form either online or in person, you will be matched with an individual or family and will be provided with detailed information about their holiday wishes and drop-off procedures.  If you do not wish to shop this year, you can still donate to the program by clicking here.
